Web accessibility

The World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) has produced guidelines on how to ensure websites are accessible to people with disabilities.

It is worth noting that accessibility benefits all users, not just those with disabilities. Making content understandable and navigable, and creating web pages that work on a range of browsers and machines ensures your website is available to as wide an audience as possible.

As well as meeting legal requirements and making commercial sense, from an ethical viewpoint an accessible website is good business practice for any organisation concerned with social inclusion.
